Schloss Homburg, a half-timbered building from the 16th century, is built on steeply rising above the tuff Burkardusgrotte.

The cave, the nucleus of the village is every year on October 12th goal of the festive procession to Holy Burkardus, the first bishop of Würzburg.

With open views over the vineyard landscapes of the Main, the castle rises above Homburg and has become since 1998 a space and meeting place for contemporary art.
